These general terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply between you and Taxi Göteborg Ekonomisk Förening, org. no. 757200—4351 (“Taxi Göteborg”, “we”, “our”, “us”), when you as a private person book, pay and carry out a trip with one of Taxi Göteborg's taxis (the “Service”) or when you, as a corporate customer, or a natural person representing a Corporate Customer, book make, pay for and complete a journey with any of Taxi Gothenburg's taxis (the “Service”). The Business Customer is responsible for ensuring that all natural persons whom the Business Customer allows to use the Service comply with the Terms.
By accepting the Terms when you book your trip through one of our digital platforms, or when you otherwise use the Service, you will be bound by these Terms. The Terms and Conditions applicable at the time of your booking also apply to the trip to which the booking relates.
When you use the Service, we will process personal data about you. You can read more about our processing of personal data in our privacy policy which you can find at https://www.taxigoteborg.se/ (“Website”)
Taxi Göteborg is an economic association owned by about 100 members. It is the members who run the haulage companies that own all the taxis and have employed taxi drivers. We place high demands on our taxi drivers and train them in, among other things, local knowledge, safety, booking system, taximeter procedure, customer agreements, tariffs, traffic rules and of course practice in traffic. Drivers who carry out care trips (travel service and sick trips) undergo extra training in order to be able to assist clients with special needs.
Taxi Göteborg provides passenger transport services for individuals, companies and business travellers, as well as for community administrations (e.g. travel services, sick trips and school trips). Taxi Gothenburg wants to be the obvious local choice of taxi companies in western Sweden that offer sustainable, safe and secure journeys with good service and accessibility.
All vehicles connected to Taxi Göteborg are insured against damage to passengers and property.
These Terms govern Taxi Gothenburg's obligations towards you as a customer, as well as your obligations as a customer when travelling with us.
You can book a trip with us in many different ways, most commonly by stopping a taxi on the street or in a taxi pocket, by phone, or through our digital platforms.
When ordering a taxi on the street, your reservation is verbally confirmed by the driver. When you order a taxi by phone, your reservation is confirmed in the phone call.
In order for you to book a trip with us via one of our digital platforms, you need to register a customer account.
If you have booked one of our taxis through a third party, such as an independent taxi booking site, you may also be subject to that operator's terms and conditions.
To become a business customer with us, contact one of our sales representatives or fill out an application form at Taxi Göteborgs website. Your application will then be sent directly to a credit reference service. The results from the credit assessment are then sent to our customer service department who will assess your creditworthiness. If you are considered creditworthy, we will request that the authorized underwriter provide a digital signature as a declaration that the company wishes to open a corporate account with Taxi Göteborg. Once the signing is received, an account is opened and you are assigned a customer number.
You as a Business Customer have a unique customer number at Taxi Göteborg, which must always be stated when booking. You can book a trip with us by phone or through digital channels. When ordering a taxi by phone, your reservation is confirmed verbally through the telephonist.
Current prices can be found in the current price list on our website. The taximeter price applies unless otherwise specifically agreed. Additional costs may apply, such as waiting time allowance, administration fee and fee when travelling from Landvetter Airport and Gothenburg Central Station. These are shown in the current price list at home page.
In connection with your reservation, you can also order additional services such as a car seat, baby carrier, or large car. Current prices for additional services can be found in the current price list on our website.
In the event that you have booked a large car and we do not have a large car available in the immediate area when you are going to travel, we will send two regular passenger cars to ensure that you receive your taxi.
The price will always reflect the service that you actually use. If you ride in a big car, the big car price applies. If you travel in two ordinary passenger cars, you are obliged to pay both.
When booking a taxi on the street, the Service is executed immediately and cancellation is not possible. When booking a taxi for a later date, i.e. by phone or through one of our digital platforms, you can cancel your trip up to 30 minutes before the agreed pick-up time.
If you cancel your trip later than 30 minutes before the agreed pick-up time, we will charge you in full for your trip.
Our drivers can help you load and unload your luggage into the vehicle. We ask you to pack your luggage with care and for it to withstand transportation. If your luggage should be damaged during the journey, we ask you to take details of the car and from the driver.
Business customers are referred to claim compensation from the ride-hailing company and from the taxi insurance company. Taxi Gothenburg is not responsible for replacing damaged luggage for corporate customers.
Taxi Gothenburg is not responsible for forgotten items, so be sure to look around the vehicle carefully before disembarking at your final destination. If you find forgotten items from a previous passenger in the vehicle, please notify the driver.
If you find that you have forgotten something in one of our taxis, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to help you as best we can. If the taxi needs to go to you to return something that you have forgotten left in the car, you will be charged for the trip.
Taxi Göteborg does not save any forgotten found bills or things. Found valuables will be forwarded to the Police Department.
When you book a taxi by phone, provide your first and last name. When the taxi arrives, provide your name to the driver who confirms the booking and your journey can begin.
When you book a taxi through one of our digital platforms, you will receive a booking confirmation from us via email and/or SMS with a booking number and the car number of the taxi. The driver will receive the corresponding booking number as soon as they have picked up your booking and are on their way to you. Your booking number should always correspond to the driver's booking number.
If you take the wrong car, this counts as not having shown up to your designated booked taxi. See below.
It is your responsibility as a traveler to be on time for your pre-booked taxi. After the scheduled pick-up time has passed, the driver will make an attempt to contact you by phone if you have provided a number. If the driver is told to wait, the waiting time fee will be charged according to the current price list. 5 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time, the driver has the right to cancel your trip and you will then be charged in full for the trip.
If the location you are in has no address or is difficult to find, please work with the driver to find a suitable pick-up location. When booking via our digital channels, you will see the driver's phone number when ordering. Your phone number will also be relayed to the driver. If you know that the place you are going to be picked up at is difficult to find, you can also provide this information and any details about where you are already at the time of booking, such as “The road is closed but stop at the mailbox, there I am”.
In the case of an ordered pick-up at the airport, the following applies. The taxi will wait 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. After 15 minutes have passed, the driver will contact you if you have entered a number. If the driver is told to wait, a waiting time fee will be charged according to the current price list. If you do not respond when the driver tries to contact you, the driver terminates the booking and leaves the location (15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time in total). You are then obliged to pay full payment for the trip.
When you book a taxi on the street or over the phone, you pay for the taxi ride when you reach your final destination, or you prepay your ride in the car at the start of the trip if you have chosen the fixed fare. You can pay in cash or through one of the electronic payment methods provided by Taxi Göteborg at any time.
As a Business Customer, you can become an invoice customer at Taxi Göteborg. To become an invoice customer, you must create a business account. Taxi Gothenburg will also carry out a credit check and may then obtain a credit report about you.
Billing for current account debt will be billed monthly in arrears. When invoicing, an invoice fee of SEK 50, excluding VAT, is added per invoice. Full payment of current account debt must be received by Taxi Göteborg no later than the due date stated on the invoice issued. You are responsible for payment of the account debt incurred on the account through the use of the Service and any interest, fees and other expenses incurred on the account in connection therewith. In case of late payment, interest is charged on overdue amounts in accordance with Section 6 of the Interest Act.
The Business Customer is always obliged to pay an invoice if the Business Customer has not disputed the payment obligation within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
As a traveller, you should be aware that some delay or unforeseen events may occur during the journey and you are obliged to limit any damage you may suffer from, for example, a delay. For example, if you are going on a connecting train or plane. You're supposed to:
If you use the Service in violation of these Terms or otherwise in violation of the instructions provided by Taxi Göteborg from time to time and do not make corrections within a reasonable time from the time Taxi Göteborg points this out, Taxi Göteborg has the right, temporarily or permanently, to deny you access to the Service.
The following conduct shall always be deemed to constitute Misuse of the Service:
In addition to what is otherwise implied by these Terms and Conditions, Taxi Göteborg reserves the right to refuse you to undertake a booked trip with us in the following cases:
You are not entitled to any additional compensation in case of denied travel under this paragraph. Please note that you may also be liable to pay compensation to Taxi Göteborg for the damage caused.
If your actions in accordance with the above paragraphs result in damage and/or additional cost to Taxi Göteborg, including but not limited to cleaning the defendant's taxi car and/or repairing Taxi Göteborg's property, you are liable to indemnify Taxi Göteborg for this.
To use our digital platforms, you need to register a customer account with us. You are responsible for providing accurate and complete contact details and for keeping the contact information in your account up to date at all times. Your customer account is personal and may not be transferred or borrowed. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs from your customer account, so it is important that you keep your password confidential and use it securely. Please note that you are obliged to pay all amounts charged to the account by using the account for taxi booking.
Your customer account will run until further notice. You can cancel your customer account at any time by notifying Taxi Göteborg via our customer portal at home page.
If you find that your account has been subjected to unauthorized use, please report this to us immediately. Taxi Gothenburg will then block the account. You are obligated to pay for all trips booked on your account.
A customer account that has been inactive (meaning no activity has occurred from the customer account) for 6 months will be de-registered.
If you use your customer account in violation of these Terms or otherwise in violation of the instructions provided by Taxi Göteborg from time to time and do not make corrections within a reasonable time from the time Taxi Göteborg points this out, Taxi Göteborg has the right to terminate your customer account until immediately terminated.
To become a Business Customer, you need to register a business account with us. You are responsible for providing accurate and complete contact details and for keeping the contact information in your account up to date at all times. Your business account may not be transferred or borrowed. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs from your business account. Please note that you are obliged to pay all amounts charged to the account by using the account for taxi booking.
Your business account will run until further notice. You can cancel your corporate account at any time by notifying Taxi Göteborg via our customer portal.
If you find that your account has been subjected to unauthorized use, please report this to us immediately. Taxi Gothenburg will then block the account.
A business account that has been inactive for 6 months will be deactivated or de-registered.
If you use your business account in violation of these Terms or otherwise in violation of the instructions provided by Taxi Göteborg from time to time and do not make corrections within a reasonable time from the time Taxi Göteborg points this out, Taxi Göteborg has the right to terminate your business account until immediately terminated.
The following use of the Business Account shall always be deemed to constitute Misuse of the Business Account:
- You fail to pay your account debts on time or Taxi Göteborg has good reason to fear that you will not pay your account debts on time, or
- You make repeated taxi bookings from your Business Account that you are late to or absent from in violation of these Terms.
The Business Customer undertakes, during the term of the contract and for a period of 1 year thereafter, not to disclose or disclose information (whether in oral, written electronic or other form) about Taxi Göteborg's activities that may be considered a business or professional secret or otherwise use such information for any purpose other than for the Company Customer's performance of its obligations under these Terms. Information stated by Taxi Göteborg to be confidential should always be considered a business or professional secret.
We at Taxi Göteborg do our best to provide you with relevant information about your booking or trip, but cannot make guarantees regarding information that is dependent on factors beyond our control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect damage including, but not limited to, loss of profit, loss of income, reduced turnover, business interruption or goodwill loss arising out of or in connection with the Service.
Taxi Göteborg is also not responsible for extended travel time or delayed pick-up/drop-off due to temporary circumstances beyond our control, such as special traffic conditions, accidents, road works or unexpected weather.
Taxi Göteborg is also not otherwise liable for failure to fulfill its obligations under these Terms if the failure is due to circumstances beyond Taxi Göteborg's control, so-called Force Majeure. Exemptive circumstance shall be considered war or warlike act, governmental restrictions, fire, prohibition, defect or other similar event.
We want you to be satisfied with our services. If you are not satisfied, please contact us on our customer portal which you can find on our website.
If you are a private customer, you can also contact Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), Teknologgatan 8 C, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm.
These Terms and Conditions are binding on you at any time you use the Service at Taxi Göteborg. If you no longer wish to be bound by these Terms, you may stop using our Service.
If you have any questions about the Service, please contact us at 031-650000. We do not receive or handle any cases or complaints over the phone. See paragraph 8.
You may not assign or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms. However, Taxi Göteborg has the right to transfer its rights or obligations under these Terms, as long as you as a private customer do not receive a reduced security through the transfer.
Should any provision of these Terms or any part thereof be found to be invalid, this shall not mean that the Terms in their entirety are invalid, but shall, to the extent that invalidity substantially affects a party's exchange of or performance under the Terms, reasonable adjustment of the Terms shall be made.
Swedish law shall apply to these Terms. Disputes arising out of these Terms shall be settled by the Gothenburg District Court as the first instance.
